60th Birthday dinner party

I am seeking a venue for a dinner party for about 50, a private room in a nice restaurant or hotel must have good food and ambiance but not too expensive. Need to be close to hotels and or b&b's as most will not be driving home that night!

i would think you need to ring around all the major seafront hotels as theyre the only ones probably able to cater for that kind of number in a private room. I assume you know the major hotels?

and isnt it a bit odd to say "good food" but not too exopensive?!? what does that mean? whats expensive to me is'nt necessarily to you, its wholy subjective.

A good way to approach this might be to look for wedding venues in Brighton. It will give you an idea of which hotels have private dining areas and can handle a party of 50 guests to a reasononable standard, and some places you might not have considered that do private catering.

Pub du Vin (next door to Hotel du Vin) has a lovely room for private functions. I had a look at it with a friend who was planning something similar. It's well worth contacting them.
