Staying in a hotel/B&B for one night at the weekend.

This seems to be the impossible dream, at least as far as Brighton is concerned. I'm coming to visit July 2nd, but it seems every single hotel/B&B has a two night minimum policy at weekends.

So far, the most useful advice I've found is "call around on the morning you're going", but surely there must be somewhere that's not going to force me to book a room for two nights?

Any help?

Jury's Inn and MyHotel may be your best (only?) bets. Virtually every other hotel in Brighton and Hove has a 2-night minimum on weekends, and only book one night on the day (as you've been advised) if they aren't full or have had a last-minute cancellation.

This has been my experience too--and I must say that it has put me off visiting Brighton. (Are you listening, hotel owners?)

Good luck to you.

What about Travelodge or Premier Inn?

Using your travel dates, checkout this listing of smaller hotels & B&B's, & do some ringing around, if you book and pay up front, i reckon they'll take a one-nighter.
