Could anyone advise our far the ground is from main seafront also, any decent hotels/guest houses (80-120 per night) within walking distance of ground.

A long, long way is the answer. You'll need to get a train to Falmer, which is as near to Lewes as it is Brighton seafront. Have a look on google maps for Falmer and see what I mean. If we ever play there again (Ha !), I'll be doing my pre and post match socialising in Lewes and training it from there. The pubs are better IMHO and, for you, it's certainly cheaper to stay.

That's just my view though. I'll let the Brighton people advise you on staying there but be warned that many places have a two night minimum at weekends.

nowhere near the seafront, more like 5miles. No hotels anywhere within walking. I think the Down Hotel at Woodingdean is prob one of the closest, less than a 10min drive. But again you cant walk to the main Brighton seafront from their either, but its well served by buses. (tho at night theyre notorious, as the route takes via Whitehawk!)

You best bet is to leave the car at home, get the train down from London, stay at Jurys next door to Brighton Station, brightonhotels.jurysinns.com/…

then you have the sea front an easy walk, and trains to Falmer (10mins) for the Footy.

Good Advice from bojangles.

Also remember you will not be able to park anywhere near the ground, so a trian to Falmer station is by far your best bet.

After all the opposition from the local snobby people, Brighton has now got a splendid looking stadium that really shows up the horrid architecture next door. Well done the Seagulls.

I had a tour round it the other night and I have to say it's fantastic. No team deserves it more after what they've been through.

Don't be too tough on the nimbies though - remember that their little corner of England has changed forever, for our benefit.

?? what horrid architecture next door? certainly not Falmer Village, which dates back over a thousand years!!

you must mean Moulsecoomb & Bevendean council estates, or the Uni!

The uni I think. Hope it was brightons falmer campus that was meant and not the award winning sussex over the road.
