Brighton on a Monday night??

Hi folks

A few of us will be in staying in a gatwick airport hotel on a Monday nite and we were thinking of getting the bus/train to Brighton for a nite out. We would be heading down about 8/9 as we have a course that day.

Do you think it would be worth it?

Would it be busy?

What time do bars/clubs open to?

Any advice greatly appreciated :)

As much as it would be worth it with loads of places open til the early hours (Monday night's big student night out) but as youre not heading out til late, you won't have enough time for a night out, assuming you're on the last train back, 1130-ish I think??

If you can get down earlier then definitely come down, as the alternative is Crawley, hideous place #ChavTown ;/

Thanks for your reply

Didn't relise the last train was 11.30, not really worth it as can't get down any earlier. Might have to settle for creepy Crawley!

Last train 11:37.

If you were hardcore tho then you'd get the first train out at 03:50 ;)

Crawley closes at 11! Couple of Bars on the High St, plus JJ whisper. It'll be dead.

If we did get the first train out at 03.50 would there be any clubs opened to that time?

oh no not Crawley...look be fair it's a tiny place and nothing will be happening much past 11pm on a Monday. Get yourselves down to Brighton (9pm is still very early) and club together for a cab on the way back to LGW. Google Streamline Taxis to get current quote. If there are a few of you it's just the price of one cocktail each - a sacrifice maybe but worth every penny for door to door. Careful though - cabbies don't like loud drunks. So ssshhh. Have a great night.
