Brighton overnight with teenager

Planning to come to Brighton and stay a night or 2 - want to go to the beach/shopping/dinner etc

Would you recommend staying nearby and coming into town each morning - don't fancy getting mixed up in the hen/stag celebrations! We would come on a week day not weekends

Any suggestions - I will be driving down

Thank you

You can avoid the Hens n stags easily by staying away from West St mostly, and the clubs down on the beachfront. In essence that's a fraction of Btn town centre. So you just need to be selective in the bars & areas.

Hi there, I have a teenager - impress them by not being in the burbs- you will want to maximise your time in town rather than be out of it- bojangles is right- the area hit most by Hens n Stags bless em is a very narrow seafront to the Pier/ West St strip. If mid week you should be ok -if you want noise free but walkable stay perhaps further along the seafront (or just back) towards Hove or along to Kemp Town. Make sure you check that you get parking included with your B and B- more chance the Hove end.

Hope you have a great time

There's no need to stay outside of Brighton. It's not a city full of hen and stags! Stay at the marina or the kemp town area and as Bo says, avoid west street. Places like the lanes/laines, Kemp Town etc will all be hen and stag free.

I stayed in Brighton for 9 months on business during the week and never saw a single stag or hen party other than ones that were arriving on Friday afternoon as I was heading home. Parking is not readily available as someone has already said so the train might be an easy option.
