" Cotswold train station "?

I think something has been lost in translation. There isn't a railway station of that name. Where are you attempting to start from?

Not sure what you mean by 'Cotswold train station', the Cotswolds are an area of hills and villages not served well by train.

Also not sure of the whereabouts of Thornbury Castle unless it is the hotel of that name between Bristol and Gloucester,

If this is the hotel and you have booked there you would be best served by asking them for directions.

Thornbury Castle is not in the Cotswolds, it is in the Vale of Berkeley. The nearest train station is Patchway, about 13 km, although Bristol Parkway may be a better choice at 15 km, since it does have a taxi rank.
