Broadway

We have just booked our airline tickets in and out of London.. We plan to spend the 1st 3 nights in the Cotswolds. I have a place picked out. The Whiteacre B&B in Broadway. Is Broadway one of the larger villages? We love to go to dinner and wine and then possibly walk the town a little after.. Just wondering if there are some pubs, possibly with live music? We just don't want to have dinner and go back to sit in the room. I do realize these are villages and not cities. Thanks

"We stayed at a different hotel (Lygon Arms), which we found a little too rustic, so would not really recommend."

Broadway and chipping campden are both lovely , both worth a stay in my opinion

Your bb choice in broadway is a five min walk to the

The high street where you will find a few restaurants and pubs.Just to put things into perspective the high street would take you a maximum 15 mins to walk top to bottom it consists of approx 50 /60 small shops / business etc

For live music head to the crown and trumpet pub /church street ( maybe only on a sat night though)another nice pub is www.theswanbroadway.co.uk great value and nice food... Opposite you will find the broadway hotel on the green nice to pop in for a drink ( seats outside in the good weather with views over the green)

The Lygon Arms Hotel is a stunning historic hotel where Oliver Cromwell is reputed to have stayed worth a look around don't worry about popping in everyone does !! Stunning fireplaces with roaring logs in the colder days

www.russellsofbroadway.co.uk is a fine restaurant although a little pricey

www.marketpantry.co.uk is a nice high quality cafe great coffee!!

Chipping campden is a10 min drive approx 5 miles away again plenty of places to eat no need to drive once you are there the high street again is only a 10 min walk from one end to the other www.eightbellsinn.co.uk a fine pub with great food and Huxleys is great for a casual coffee

Enjoy !!!
