TA has four cruise terminals spread over several miles.

Which terminal, what day of week, what type of food and where else in Southampton are you planning on seeing?

I have no clue on the terminal number. We arrive on Tues, Sept 9th. We love eating but would prefer local fair.

Try The Duke of Wellington or Red Lion pubs. Red Lion is on the High Street and Duke of W 5 mins walk away in the old town. I have no idea what the food is like (both have reviews on here) but they will fulfil your every English pub fantasy. D of W is an extremely crooked Tudor-style building (but MUCH older than the Tudors I think). Red Lion is similar vintage but not quite so attractive. It has a pub parrot which surely makes up for it.

All before are correct.

Have a look at the reviews on TripAdvisor, there are plenty of places to eat.

It might be better to look at "things to do" from the cruise ship - most cruise passengers like to "walk the walls" "Titanic Trail" or "Jane Austen Trail" which include many of the above recommendations.

Considering the amount, variety and quality of food available on cruises, I have always found the few hours ashore are better off filled with seeing sights, not more food!!
