walking path with beautiful scenery

interested in a nice walking path that is not difficult but will bring us into the countryside to see beautiful scenery. A two to four hour peaceful walk would be great for early May 2014.

Any suggestions??

How about 'Constable Country'?

The good thing about this walk is that you can get trains to Manningtree, at least two an hour from London, for example, more at busier times. There are not many walks so deep in the countryside that are served so well by train services. This is because Manningtree is where people change from London trains for Harwich.

We will have a car so train connections are not required. Circle routes are desired but not mandatory.

Thank you for your suggestion. My father was stationed in England during WW2.

Constable country would probably be ideal - not too far from London, beautiful scenery and villages, flat easy walking. Start at East Bergholt, walk to Flatford, then by the river to Dedham, and back to East Bergholt.

In my part of the world, I recommend the wonderful (but largely unknown) High Weald Landscape Trail. Or if you'd like to see The Seven Sisters, it's very easy to devise a circular route starting and finishing at Crowlink car park - google is your friend.
