Transport from rental drop off to cruise terminal

We have rental to drop off at Avis, Arrivals Hall, Eastern Dock then on to the cruise terminal. I cannot find a site for the distance. My cruise ship supposedly leaves from Western Dock but one site says that is renamed Eastern Dock. How far is it?

Are there any shuttles to cruise ships? Is taxi best if it cannot be walked. We have luggage

Thanks

No, the Ferry Terminal (Eastern Dock) and Cruise Terminal (Western Dock) are not the same place.

When you drop the car off, get the people at Avis to call a taxi for you. Problem solved!

Entering "from Avis Car Hire Dover Eastern Docks, Dover to Dover Cruise Port" on Google Maps will give you the driving route and distance...the walking route is slightly less but still getting on for 2 miles.

You might also want to look at the Dover Cruise Port website www.doverport.co.uk/…

Another useful website is the London Toolkit page on Dover Cruise Port londontoolkit.com/travel/dover_cruise_termin…

You said "we", so another option is for you to go to Western docks first, drop other passenger(s) and luggage then take the car back to Eastern docks. It's just over a mile to walk between the docks.

Assuming you need to refuel the car before return, there's a BP station on the road between the docks.
