We need more info from you, what sort of advice?

What dates are they travelling?

How will they get there (car, train etc)?

Are you looking for a luxury hotel or a smaller hotel or a B&B?

Staying in one of the main towns, or "out of the way"?

What do they enjoy doing (walking, outdoor pursuits, sight seeing, eating /drinking?)

Some basic advice

Yes the lake district is lovely, but hotels can fill up very quickly during the summer months.

The main towns to stay in are Keswick, Ambleside or Windermere.

Smaller places to stay in include Coniston, Grasmere and numerous villages like Hawkshead, Buttermere and many others.

There are quite a few luxury hotels that cater for a honeymoon, but they can be expensive, and they are often in rather isolated places.

As an example, the Lodore Falls hotel is rather romantic

Or the Low Wood Bay hotel, right on the edge of Lake Windermere.

Just a little thought on this. If they have not planned a honeymoon, maybe it's because funds are tight? If so, please don't send them away somewhere that will cost them anything. Even if you pay for the hotel there is the cost of travel, meals while they are there, trips out that have to be budgeted for. So your lovely thought could end up being a bit of a burden on them.

Perhaps you could get them a hotel voucher that doesn't have to be used immediately, so they can plan when to use it and budget accordingly.
