Helm crag or Cat bells.....?

First time for my wife climbing in the lakes next week, Helm crag or Cat bells? (or both!) Fitness isn't a problem and we have a couple of days to dodge the weather. What do we think?

10. Why dig up a thread months old, when the OP went in October?

If you do Cat Bells get there EARLY! There's no longer any parking on the road & it's all double yellowed & remember, even if there's enough room the other side of the doubles you will still get a parking fine! We went up Catbells in the October half term & we set off from the main layby/car park at the bottom at about 8.30 & we were coming down about 10.30ish & every man and his dog was coming up at that time, we had the place to ourselved-it was great! Albeit a bit blustery! and as we were about 10 mins from the car the heavens opened! We had the best part of the day! (We did this walk with a 4 yo & an 8 yo, so you'll do it easily in 2 hours & they were queuing in the car park!
