Bus fares

Please can anyone tell me (approx) bus fare from carlisle to keswick on bus 554? Trying to organise a budget trip but the price of public transport is out of control (imho). Also, plan to get the bus from keswick to threlkeld. Any idea on the fare? Thanks very much.

Unfortunately Stagecoach do not publish fares or have a fare finder on their website. However they do invite you to e-mail them if you need to know a particular fare, the e-mail link is in the page linked to below.

I don't know single/return fares, but I do know the dayrider tickets are fantastic value - see here: www.stagecoachbus.com/2-Dayrider%20nw.aspx

Yes, if you want to do Carlisle - Threlkeld in one day a North West Explorer would suit you - and note there are family and Group rates too.

The North West explorer ( £10.50 adult) is as already mentioned going to be your best bet. The 7 day version is good value if you are using the buses a few times over a week.

Bus fares are expensive here, e.g. Keswick to Penrith is/was £5.50 one way, so the 1 day explorer is often the cheapest option for a single return journey.
