Half term in Blackpool

Grand Daughter, Husband & eight year old son visiting for half term from 26th October. Staying at Haven camp site.

They know about the Pleasure beach & and have pre booked tickets.

What they want to know is there any other activities on in and around the area They have a car so can travel. They are on a pretty tight budget so nothing that's going to cost the earth.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi there, there's always lots going on in Blackpool, but for most of the attractions/activities,you will have to pay a fee.

The illuminations are on at the moment until beginning of Nov,so that's a nice sight to see at night and of course, doesn't cost anything.Another thing my kids like doing in Blackpool that doesn't cost alot is riding up/down the promenade in one of the trams.

At the moment in the Sun newspaper, they are doing 2 for 1 vouchers on various attractions in the UK.They include the Sealife Centre and Madam Tussuads in Blackpool,so that would save some money.

Other things we enjoy doing as a family when visiting Blackpool is going to the Zoo,Sandcastle Waterpark on the seafront, and going up the Tower with it's many attractions (ballroom, circus, kids play area etc). These are all bookable on their websites which would save between 10/15% than the normal walkup price.A walk on one of the 3 piers is also a nice way to pass sum time.

Hope this helps abit and that ur family hav a g8t hol in Blackpool......

Have a walk along the North Pier- has the best views of Blackpool Tower and Beach.

The Tower Circus is a very good family show, on most days. Tickets from the ticket office behind the Tower.

You can spend the day at Pleasure Beach, get there early!!

Merlin vouchers - check exclusion dates carefully, a lot are not valid during half term! Best value Merlin ticket is the Big Ticket - £40 each - 6/7 attractions theblackpooltower.com/tickets-and-offers/tic… Travel on the new trams and Blackpool Transport buses. Star Gate to Fleetwood etc and or view the lights - family ticket £9 Day saver.
