Restaurants - City Centre

Hi All,

Wondering if you can help.

Any suggestions for a nice restaurant for a small group of seventeen year olds to go to lunch? My sister is celebrating her birthday and has decided to go on shopping trip with her friends with some lunch included,

Food wise they are all pretty open minded with one of the girls being vegetarian,

I know plenty of places (which I have suggested) however wondering if anyone knows of a little hidden 'gem' which would be nice for her to visit - and of course wouldn't cost the earth!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

What about Delifonseca on Stanley Street:

Or maybe Lunya down the street that links Hanover Street to Liverpool One:

And I always pass this place http://www.kasbahcafebazaar.co.uk/ but have never been in - looks very tempting !

I think Matt has made some really good suggestions - some really decent non-chain places. The Delifonseca is great, and a few minutes walk from Liverpool One, if that's where you'll be shopping. Lunya is good too, and nearer to the main shops, as it is within the Liverpool One development. The Kasbah's very new, so I've not heard of it until now. The menu does look interesting - it's up the road on Bold St, which is a really good street with some funky independent shops. I must try it soon.

You don't say how big the group is, but you may need to make sure that all of them can be seated at one table if that's what they want - the Delifonseca and the Kasbah may not be able to do that without you booking in advance.

Haven't been to Casa Italia.

What about the "Bistro" chain - Bistro Pierre on Button Street by Mathew St, Bistro Jacques on Hanover Street and Bistro Franc on Hanover Street.

I've only ever been to Bistro Pierre and was very impressed. They have special offers on like the pre-theatre menu which doesn't break the bank.

Love Bistro Pierre! It was one of my first suggestions to her - we're off to the Everton game on Monday so she's just suggested we go there for lunch before the game!! No such thing as a cheap day at the match any more!

I think she's quite taken with delifonseca so think she's going to go there.

Thanks so much for your suggestions!

Delifonseca would be ideal for a special lunch

Ate there the other week - Beautiful sausages and Colcannon mash - but they do a full range including some very nice salads
