Nowhere near a ferry. Tranmere Rovers' ground is best reached from Liverpool City Centre by bus. Would even be a hike from the nearest station on Merseyrail. Would you like us to give you the bus route numbers? There are many bus routes including some from Liverpool that go through the Mersey Tunnel and up Borough Rd which is less than half a mile from Prenton Park. I can't say follow the crowd cos there won't be one! If you let them know what time you are arriving they might re-arrange kick-off time to suit you!

Bus 472 from Sir Thomas Street at the corner of Whitechapel

Take the 472 to Singleton Ave / Borough Road about 20 minutes journey time

walk along Borough road 1 1/4 mile to Prenton Park

Use Google MAPS to locate type into the search box......CH42 9PY

click on "Street View" to see landmarks

Depending on how many are travelling it may be worthwhile getting a taxi as that may work out cheaper than bus etc.

I am not sure how much the bus journey would be each way but an all-zones Saveaway at £4.80 each would get you travel from Liverpool to anywhere on Merseyside (including Prenton Park) by bus, train or ferry.

The 472 will drop you within walking distance. The 464 will take you outside the ground and leaves from the same stop as the 472

A taxi from Liverpool City Centre should cost approx £15 including tunnel fees of £3.20. Taxis can take up to 6 people
