Liverpool FC game @ Anfield

Hello guys!

I am going to UK next year and I am planning to go to Liverpool to see a game of my favourite european club: the reds! I've heard that is too complicated to get tickets if you do not have a membership or if you did not get the whole season ticket at the beginning of the season. Do you know if it is possible to get tickets knowing that I don't have a membership? I really want to see a game in Anfield, it's been my dream since I was a little boy.

Also I'd like to know if I can go to the trainings and get autographs or photos....

Thanks for your help!

When do you plan on visiting Liverpool and the UK?

Tickets are difficult to get hold of for matches at Anfield, but it's not impossible. They do, however, usually sell out well in advance.

If you can't get a normal match ticket there are other options, such as hospitality tickets where you pay extra and get a meal included in the price; or you can get tickets through Thomas Cook Sport, but this also includes 1 or 2 nights accommodation in a hotel.

It is possible to go to the Melwood training ground, but you would have to get a bus or taxi out there. You might be lucky and get some of the players autographs at the entrance gate, but that can not be guaranteed..

Don't forget that you can also go on the Anfield stadium tour and visit the museum.

I am sure bigscouse will be along next to explain the best way for you to try and get tickets for a match. ;-)

Isaac_NJ,

not much more I can say, as matt's covered everything you'll need

Isaac, what I would say is in your position your best option to be sure of getting a ticket & actually see the reds play at Anfield is to go for a THOMAS COOK package

as you are not a member, and you have more chance of landing on the moon, than you have of getting a season ticket (There's a least 28,000 waiting list for one)

whilst Thomas Cook packages are not cheap, at least your are 100% sure of a ticket and getting into the game

depending on what your plans are when booking flights to the UK, make sure you allow time for the whole weekend, most Liverpool games at home are moved for TV, either early Saturday or Sunday, or occasionally on a Monday

what ever you do, do not look at any other website/person/offering a ticket, so many unofficial web sites offer tickets and packages (including hotels etc) most of these tickets are unofficial and in some cases stolen tickets, people often get refused entry, or asked/told to leave as a result

anything else just ask

Yeah there isnt alot more we can say about tickets

Like Matt said you could get a hospitality ticket but that is 4X the price of a ticket to stand in lets say the kop end where that is where you would really want to be

The only other thing is find a season ticket holder because they get priorty for match tickets aswell but you would have to get that well in advance

I would proberly say you wont be able to get to any match this season and next season you will have to be very quick to find a season ticket holder to get a ticket that way

The reds all the way!!!!!!!!!

whilst there not cheap, there are hospitality packages via LFC and Thomas Cook packages available for a number of games this season

Yeah you could do that but what i was saying is if you want to pay through the nose then go for it.

Hospitality tickets are good, you get to meet a former LFC player and get to have a meal with other LFC fans and chat to the player but they are really expensive and if your on holiday you proberly wont account for anything at that price because they are very expensive

I think my cousin paid £290 for a hospitality ticket

Dont sound a great deal to us but when your on holiday you wouldnt account for anything at that price, well i wouldnt anyway

Maybe im just a cheapo

Isaac,

sorry, should of said you should be able to get a hospitality package via LFC, this will include a meal (either before or after the match) as well as a ticket

going for this option would allow you to sort out your own accommodation, which will probably be a lot cheaper than a Thomas Cook package

check out the link below at the start of next season

should you take this option be sure to book your hotel as soon a s possible, as Liverpool home game weekends get very busy and hotels fill up quick

personally I have seen people pay £100-£250+ for a ticket alone, and guess what they bought a worthless piece of paper

as I have said on here many times, sadly a number of foreign visitors often get ripped off, by various methods, then either not getting in or getting asked to leave

so whilst it is expensive (and yes I agree it is a rip off), however when you travel several thousand miles for 1 particular thing, I would want to be 100% sure of getting in

£290 is not so bad, I just paid £480 for Arsenal, but it is worth it....if you really want to go it's quite a lovely experience.

If you are travelling for a UK holiday from Mexico and a match ticket for a Prem League fixture at Anfield is #1 priority then the cost of a Thomas Cook package is not going to seem expensive.Especially if it includes a hotel for the night as well as a ticket for the match at no risk of fraud. I think they use the Crowne Plaza near the airport and that is an OK hotel.
