Bus fare question

Hi. Coming to visit Liverpool next week for a day trip. I've been trying to find out the bus fare for the route 86A from the airport to the city centre ?

The website only seems to show weekly or monthly ticket prices.

Would anyone know how much it is to just get a single ticket from the driver ?

Thanks

Mike

We used the 500 bus to get to James street, it went to city center and cost £3.00 single fare.

take the Bus (Arriva) 500 every 15 and 45 minutes past the hour

up to 19:00 hours

journey time is 20 minutes off peak

The 86A will take over an hour to reach the city centre.

Which hotel are you staying in ?

86A takes 45-50 mins (although it seems like well over an hour!) And will cost £2.20 for a single.

500 takes about 30 mins and cost £3.00 for a single.

P.S. if you miss a 500 and a 82A is due then catch that. It will also cost £2.20 (like the 86A) and follows the route of the 500 but takes about 5 mins longer because it stops a few times.

They've started using brand new buses on the 82A route too, unlike the older buses they now use on the 500 since they got rid of the bendy-buses.

£2.20 and the 82a is well quicker than the 80/86a

I have a feeling that only senior bus passes issued by Merseytravel to local residents can be used on buses and trains on Merseyside.

#7.

Yes, but only for off peak time travel.

Freedom to use throughout England and includes London buses in case you wondered.
