Between the Imperial War Museum, Cabinet War Rooms & Churchill Museum and Churchills Britain at War Museum, which would you rather visit and why?

In order, I'd rank them:

1. Cabinet War Rooms and Churchill Museum - although the Churchill Museum is new since my last visit. Very interesting to wander through this underground fortress. I can't even imagine living down there for any length of time!!

2. Imperial War Museum - this museum is vast and will take a good portion, if not all day to see. There is a lot to see and is very detailed. The Holocaust exhibit is very well done - extremely disturbing, but well worth seeing.

3. Britain at War Museum - this is more a museum of WWII memorabilia. The mannequin's in the displays are pretty cheesy, but there is a lot of interesting stuff to look at - clothing, anderson shelters, everyday items of the day, etc...

The answer depends a lot on how much time you have to spare.

If time is not an issue then it has to be the Imperial War Museum as it has far more to see than all the others put together. We spent 2 full days there and it's free!! Found the gallery describing how some George and Victoria crosses were won particularly interesting.
