Curry in central London

My wife and I will be in London from tomorrow through Sunday and were looking for any suggestions for Indian curries in central London. We will be based around the Strand, however, would travel further afield if necessary.

Thanks.

Ian

How much do you want to spend Birdman? There's an expensive and v good Indian restaurant just around the corner from you at Picadilly

If you want cheap and cheerful the curry district of London is 'Brick Lane' out in the East End (probably easiest to get a taxi there), you'll get dropped off on the street and then have a choice of hundreds of restaurants, most with touts outside trying to get you in - its v lively and worth a visit but the quality of food can be hit and miss.

It all depends on what price and atmosphere you want.

I have enjoyed meals at Soho Spice:

Veeraswamy looks great too. I am going to have to put some thought to this. We might try one for lunch, another for dinner.

Are they easy to get reservations for?
