Is it important to book tickets in advance? Advice needed!

Hello

We are 5 friends coming to London from this Thursday 14th till Tuesday 19th.

We have lots of plans already and are hoping to include the following but not sure if we need to buy tickets in advance - would love advice from the forum for:

1. Modigliani at the Tate Modern

2, Balenciaga at the V&A

3. Christmas lights at Kew Gardens

Can we leave it till the last minute to book or is it necessary to book now?

Thanks for your thoughts

Sharon

Art shows often sell out. Best thing is to look at the website in advance and see whether future dates are sold. When you book, you book to enter during a half hour period - it's often worth it as you run the risk of turning up and being told the show is full for the next four hours

Last year Kew Gardens Christmas event was almost sold out. Last week a few tickets were available on the night. I’d recommend you book.

PS I enjoyed it very much and I’m going again this week.

No need to book in advance for any of them.

However for 1 and 2 I would advise booking online on the morning of your visit (to avoid any waiting around). And if you want to visit Kew Gardens for the evening session then you need to book asap as numbers are limited (they are not limited for the day session).

There are currently tickets available in every time slot tomorrow for the V&A exhibition, so I wouldn’t worry about pre booking.
