Two bedroomed flats for £150 a night are thin on the ground in central London - but if you're willing to travel a bit, you can get good value elsewhere.

A poster, macjack, and family stayed at Bridge House, not far from Mudchute DLR last month. macjack rated it well, as you can see from this: http://tinyurl.com/3a4yz2

Have a look at www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/london for rentals of larger flats. Places near the ExCel may be a bit cheaper, but there's not much there in terms of either green space or much to do after 1700.

Try www.hamletuk.com - these are residential, self catering flats near the Tower of London - still in Zone one - see my review under Hamlet apartments. The area is wonderful and you will enjoy staying in an apartment and getting the feel of being a Londoner!

Since they are self catering, you are a bit on your own, versus an apartment / hotel like building that offers hotel services.

Macjack here- and yes, when I read your requirements, I immediately thought of our stay in Bridge House, Docklands. During our stay it was about £125 a night.

TA wouldn't let me post a review of it in the hotel section but I would be happy to tell you more or send pics if interested. jmac4@mac.com.

I also wrote a post about it- do a search for Docklands and I'll bet it will show up.

And the website is johnkgraham.com.
