I know a joke about Cockfosters that I can't repeat here.

Presumably Turnham Green (pronounced Turn 'em Green) is the place for the ecologically aware.

Circus is another name for a roundabout, I think?

It's called 'circus' after the Latin word for circle. It was a traffic circle joining Piccadilly, Shaftesbury Avenue and Haymarket years ago.

Theydon Bois

Two Ronnies once did a good humorous song where the lyrics included most of the funny "double meaning" tube station names. Some of you may remember it.

Before we go there St Johns Wood is still the only station which does not inchude any of the letters from MACKEREL, and Knightsbridge is still the one with the most consecutive consonants.

The first time I heard "Bakerloo" i thought it was a joke not a real name. Still makes me laugh everytime i hear it. Don't know why
