Back again with more questions. You have all been so helpful I thought I'd ask a couple more questions. My husband, 19-yr-old daughter and I will be arriving on Dec. 26 and departing on Jan. 4.
1) The King Tut Exhibit tickets are on sale now and we are considering ordering in advance. The website says that it will only take 60-90 minutes to go through the entire exhibit, which is at the former Millenium Dome, now called the O2. What other major attractions would be in the same area so that we could make a day of it?
2) We would also like to take a day and go out to Windsor Castle. How would we get there by train (we are nearest the High Street Kensington Tube Station)? The website for Windsor Castle says to call ahead to make sure the State Apartments are open, as the Royal Family sometimes spends the holidays there. Does anyone have any idea whether there are good vs. bad days to go? We were there about 20 years ago and remember there being some delightful shops and restaurants. Would they be open if we chose to go on Sunday, Dec. 30?
Thanks for any and all help!
