What's with all the "inactive users"?

Opened up the Forum today for my daily dose and was met by almost a full page of "inactive user" posts.

Doesn't effect me terribly, just wondering. . . .

I had contacted the TA support team about this same thing a few weeks back and they said they were experiencing a "temporary technical issue" which they were hoping to resolve.
