Yes, by using Victoria station Underground you are about 10 stops from Tower Hill on the District or Circle Line, 2 stops from Westminster for the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey, two stops on the Victoria Line to Oxford Circus, in fact you are within easy tube distance of most of the major sites.

This is why the Pimlico area is so popular for cut price hotels, its close enough for all central London places of interest, well served by public transport and just far enough out for hotels to be able charge lower prices (because property prices are lower).

The number 24 bus stops outside the Luna & Simone and runs a 24 x 7 service every few minutes. In less than 10 minutes you'll be outside Westminster Abbey and going pass Downing Street to Trafalgar Square to the West End theatre district.

London is quite spread out and the attraction you have picked, the Tower of London is much further way - but no hotel is convenient for all the attractions.

We stayed at L & S in June and loved it. The #24 bus was extremely convenient and it's also a pleasant walk to Victoria station. You'll have no problem going anywhere. We loved that hotel and I would def stay there again.

benji; you'll love the L&S, make full use of the #24 bus in front of the hotel and grab the tube/taxi beyond Victoria Station as the need dictates. That said, aren't many of the 'must see's' that aren't close to the 24 bus route and easily reached on foot from your chosen bus stop. The Tower, and a few other spots require a bus change/tube/taxi but the #24 was our means of transport for 5 days in April and enjoyed the view on the top level, right at the front, for an almost free tour bus with an unobstructed view. If you want a cab on short notice, one of the twin brother owners at L&S will walk onto Belgrave Road and flag one down in seconds. Try the fish soup with bread at Seafresh down the road for a cheap and light evening meal.
