Pub recommendation near Euston

Can anyone recommend a decent pub for a cheeky pint following a meeting and before heading back up north? I've always struggled around there. I know it's not too far from Camden but don't really want to walk up that far. About 5 minute walk max.

Really appreciate advice on a cosy boozer with friendly people.

Thanks in advance.

The Doric Arc (formerly the Head of Steam), which is part of the station itself. Walk out of the front of the station to where the bus stops are, look on the left and you'll see the sign. It's very easy to miss because there's nothing at ground level so you have to walk upstairs. It's a Fullers pub which serves meals and has a lot of railway memborabilia.

It's not an area I know too well when it comes to pubs. I was in the Prince Arthur recently for a TALF meet and that was a nice enough pub. The music was a bit loud though.

Otherwise, for a list of pubs around Euston station, the link belwo gives a list. I gernerally find that any pub rated 3 or above on the FAP website are decent enough.

Another website that is similar to Tripadvisor in that it lets people post reviews on pubs is www.beerintheevening.com and you can do a search by area.

If its real ale you want the the Bree Louise , 69 Coburg St (about 5 mins walk from Euston).

Ten beers on offer - 5 on pumps and 5 straight from the barrel, plus a couple of ciders. Beer is about £3/pint but you get a 50p discount if you are a CAMRA member.

Some reviews on Fancy a Pint, and Beer in the evening, don't like the surroundings/decor , but approve of the beer
