london hotels

We are trying to plan a honeymoon trip to london. can anyone tell us when is the best time to go that is off season? We are also looking for clean, affordable hotels. While id like to stay at a 4*, we wont be in much, so clean and affordable is good. any reccomendations for either question is welcome and appreciated.

First of all, congratulations on the upcoming wedding!

London doesn't have much of an off season, or so it seems. There were plenty of visitors in the city in October, in February, and in summer there will be even more people in town. Summer is busy, but May and September are a bit less hectic, often with the plus of long warm days and mild evenings - nice.

Is your visit to London part of a longer trip to other cities in Europe? How long will you stay in the city; do you plan any day trips or two/three day visits to other parts of England, Wales or Scotland?

Have you a budget in mind for hotels? Oh, one more question: is this a first visit to the capital?

Check out-

Will give you afew ideas for hotels. We got a great deal at The Montague on the Gardens, close to Russell sq tube and the British Museum. On the hoteldirect site. Also got another deal on Club Q on Northumberland Ave, just off Trafalgar Sq. Which was a great location, not sure if its quite right for a honeymoon.

Thank you. We are still in the developing stage and open to ideas about our trip. We are considering a few days in Paris at the moment and/or Ireland. As to the total length of stay about two weeks. Yes, it is our first trip and we are really excited about it. The only thing we are certain of at this point is giving ourselves enough time in london to do it justice, but we also want to see some of the other places in england. So several day trips or overnighters is looking good. Price wise, I am not real good at the conversions yet so bear with me, about 100-150 USD per night is the range we are looking for. If you can reccomend any places to check out that would be wonderful. Thanks for your reply.
