Family room September Hotel or apartments

Can anyone recommend a hotel or apartment that is fairly central or near a tube that does family rooms. Looking for the lower price bracket as long as it is clean and in reasonable area. Have tried Travelodge but cannot get dates I want. Stayed at HE Express in Golders Green before but felt that too far from tube. Have seen so many horror stories about London hotels tend to be very cautious.

As you like HIE and it seems you know the north side then try the HIE Swiss Cottage. It's a stones throw from Finchley Road tube from where you can into central London in 15 minutes or less. It's opposite a O2 entertainment centre and gets decent reviews here.

We got a family room at the Premier travel Inn, County Hall. The price was very reasonable and the position is very central - very close to the London Eye, Houses of Parliament. A easy walk to the West End. Also very close to Waterloo Station - with lots of connexions and Westminster Station. I am leaving for London soon and will be staying there again.
