Henry VIII flotilla - Tower to Hampton Ct

hrp.org.uk/HamptonCourtPalace/WhatsOn/HenryV…

Seems there's a re-enactment this Saturday 20 June, with Henry and flotilla sailing up river to Hampton Court Palace from the Tower of London.

Fireworks at the palace later that night.

Hope he's got an Oyster card.....

He has to go by boat - he wouldn't get through the new ticket barriers at Waterloo station.

For this special night only, the palace will stay open late with extra entertainment and a grand finale of fireworks at 21.45.

The palace will close at 18.00 and re-open for the evening's entertainment at 18.30.

The palace rooms will close at 21.30 and the grounds of the palace will close at 22.00.

The fireworks in the palace gardens can be seen from all outdoor areas of the palace, and will be especially spectacular from the West Front and East Front gardens and from inside Base Court.

Sounds interesting...I hope someone records the events on video and then uploads them on TALF, at least the departure from the Tower or the arrival at HCP.

Very cool. Will there be any reenactments of beheadings?

Typical. You behead 2 of your wives, leaving the other 4 untouched, and that's all that people ever talk about. He was a cultured renaissance prince as well you know!

Who gets to play 'Enery and wear the not-so-inconspicuous codpiece? Will abdominal padding be used/required? Comfort is not part of the criteria, when they's a good show to be made LOL
