Hello!

Since reasonably priced doesn't reaaly say anything, why don't you check this site?

You will find many options!

Right, OK, first of all it's always worth to check if www.hotels-london.co.uk has a special offer for the Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt and the Millenium Baileys. A couple of my friends found those for less than 90 quid a few months ago.

If this doesn't work, check Rydges Kensington Plaza, Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum and Henley House.

You may have to travel a bit to find a hotel around the hundred pound mark unless the Millennium Bailey's, HI Kensington Forum or Best Western the Cromwell have some bargain weekend rates on offer.

One hotel that has some knockdown rates available right now (click on Lenny) is the quite decent Premier Inn Kensington, on Knaresborough Place. Rates are from 49GBP per night; the hotel is quite a nice one, with large rooms, comfortable beds and a good location.

You can walk to Gloucester Road station in about ten minutes (or take the number 74 bus towards Baker Street two stops along Cromwell Road) then take the number 49 bus along Gloucester Road to Kensington High Street for the short walk to the Albert Hall or take a District line train from Earl's Court station (a very short walk) to High Street Ken station then any of the buses along the High Street to the Albert Hall.

Have stayed in a Thistle Hotel in Kensington Gardens when going to a show at the royal albert hall. It was along time ago, maybe a local can confirm it is still there ?

The Two Thistle hotels in De Vere Gardens just around the corner from The Royal Albert Hall are now shut. Last time I checked they were due to be converted to luxury apartments but that was before the recession hit.

The HI Kensington Forum would be on my short list and a reasonable budget choice would be the Montana on Gloucester Road close to the tube station.

To get within 100 GBP you might like to look at the Meininger Hotel/Hostel in Baden Powell House adjacent to the Natural History Museum, less than 5 minutes walk from the Albert Hall.

Don't let the hostel label put you off, its a clean modern affair with private rooms.

Also worth checking out the Best Western John Howard down by the side of the Albert Hall for web specials, though for events at the Albert Hall rates obviosuly get firmed up.
