4 ladies seek a central budget weekend base in may

Ideally we'd like to stay in a quad room, but will prob have to get two rooms. I've looked at Luna & Simone but they are fully booked as is Premier Inn County Hall.

We want to spend time around the West End/Westminster/Covent Garden and South Bank, so a hotel convenient for one or more of those areas would be excellent. Preferrably no more than £100 per night per (double/twin) room if thats possible for something reasonably decent, obviously a quad would be more.

any suggestions?

thanks

Try the Parkwood on Stanhope Place, not too far from Marble Arch. V good bus connections along Bayswater Road, Park Lane and Oxford Street to much of London, and they have a suite that's big enough for five.

How about the Gower Street properties? The Arrran House may suit, and the Ridgemount, Jesmond and Arosfa are all decent options as well.

Travelodge Covent Garden (it is spread across two buildings - don't opt for the 'old' building on Drury Lane) may be worth considering. Travelodge often has sales, so, you might be able to find something for a very decent price. But, I agree with TP about checking out the Gower Street B&Bs - all those TP listed have largely positive reviews.

Good luck with your planning and have a GREAT time in London! :)

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. We're working through them. Club Quarters looks very nice indeed but at 184 per double room per night it's way out of our budget.

We're hoping to spend some time down around the Globe/St Pauls area too. Any more tips?

Just discovered a new Travelodge that would have been perfect for us, but it's not opening til July 1st. Maybe thats one for next time! I'm sure with that location Travelodge Waterloo will be hugely popular.
