Walking distances

We are thinking of staying in a hotel on Buckingham Palace Road. Can anyone tell me the approximate walking distance from there to the West End?

Hi

It will depend on where the hotel is on Buckingham Palace Road (it is half a mile+ long) and where in the West End you want to go to. For example Regent Street from Picadilly to Oxford Circus is three quarters of a mile.

Try Google Maps - Get Directions - There is a walking option that will help.

You can use Walkit for walking distances and approximate times -- just select the city and type in the places :)

Yes it depends but as a guide it's about 2 miles to Leicester Square (West End theater district) or to Bond Street (west end shopping).

"The West End" is a vague term that means different things to different people. If you mean the Oxford Street shopping area or the theatre district near Leicester Square, they are both roughly 1½ miles from Victoria. Buckingham Palace Road is about ½ mile long, so it depends where your hotel is.

I recommend Google maps for showing routes and distances. You can select either walking or driving routes, drag start and finish points on the map, force the route down a particular street, etc.
