Gatwick Train

Gatwick airport train.to London........is this classed as a train ie from a Railway station or the Tube?

I understand we need the ticket from a train for the 2-4-1 offer.

Tickets for rail services from Gatwick to central London (Southern, First Capital Connect, GEX) may be used on the day of travel for the two for one offers.

If you buy a return (which will be sold as two singles) for let's say seven days apart you could use the tickets for the offers on each of those days, but you'll likely need Travelcards for transport in London. Buy paper Travelcards at the rail station booking office on arrival and use them for the offers.

It's a railway station. Gatwick is actually in Sussex, approx 30 miles south of London.

If you get a Southern train (to Victoria) or a First Capital Connect train (to London Bridge St Pancras or the stations between) , it qualifies for the 2-for-1 offers.

I think the Gatwick Express DOESN'T qualify.

Your ticket needs to be valid for the period you are visiting the attraction. If you get a single (one-way) ticket, that qualifies only only on the day of travel. If you get a return (round-trip) ticket, that qualifies for the whole period from the outward journey until the return trip to Gatwick.

Note that if you get a round-trip ticket from Gatwick it may be issued as two singles. In that case, make sure you keep both tickets - don't put the outward ticket in the slot at the gate at teh London station, as it will retain it.
