Eating in Earls Court

I will be spending 3 nights on my own in Earls Court and would love to have some recommendations for restaurants close by (walking distance of Pembroke Gardens if possible). Any suggestions? I will have spent a week in Italy and might be lookind for different taste sensations!!

Earl's Court Road has lots of restos and cafes from which to choose. There are a handful of the usual fast food suspects and at least one posho burger bar; two Chinese takeaways and a Thai cafe that's been there for years.

Masala Zone, Zizzi, Wagamama, Nando's, Dino's, As Greek as It Gets, Balans - there are a few other interesting places along Hogarth Road as well.

From Pembroke Gardens you can walk up to Kensington High Street as well - there's another branch of Balans, more Thai food at the Churchill Arms pub in Kensington Church Street, a branch of Ranoush Juice Bar - and if all else fails you can pop in to Waitrose at the junction of the High Street and Earl's Court Road, as it sells hot and cold food to take away.

If you are staying in Pembroke Gardens then Kensington High Street is probably just as close as Earls Court.

The two districts are at opposite ends of the spectrum. If you want fine/quality dining then Kensington High Street is probably the best direction (East). Earls Court going south is really a budget hotel district with Earls Court Road full of fast food outlets and budget restaurants, so plent of Italian, Indian and Pub Grub.

For a chain, Masala Zone are actually quite nice. They specialise in Thalis (complete meals with various different component dishes served on one tray) which are very resonably priced.

If you fancy a pub meal then the King's Head serves nice food, quite upmarket for a pub, but again it's reasonably cheap.

We stayed in Earls Court last October and ate several meals on Earls Court Road. Wagamama, Masala Zone, and Dragon King. I would not hesitate to recommend any of them. The best deal was our lunch at Dragon King. Two of us ate for £11.
