Heathrow to Liverpool street

Is it possible to get a tube from Heathrow to Liverpool street, if so aprox. howlong would it take and howmuch would a day ticket cost? Also is the tube station very far from the bus station?

I would go Picadilly line to Holborn, then Central line to Liverpool Street.

Takes about 1hr 30, give or take, not sure on cost but the TFL website should have that info.

If you look at the tube map (also on the TFL site) you will find MANY tube variations, you can also use their Journey Planner for other options.

There are some DE's here who have amazing routes planned that although they involve changes of trains, involve hardly any luggage porting up stairs, escalators, corridors etc!

I was going to suggest the same route, but hesitated to be the first to reply, lest I get scolded for "better" alternate routes by the usual suspects ;)

I too would go Piccadilly line to Holborn then Central line. At Holborn to make the connection you'll take a flight of stairs up from the Piccadilly line, walk about 50m, loooonnnnggg escalator up, another 50m walk then stairs back down to the eastbound Central line platform.

At Liverpool Street it's an escalator up then a bit of a hike to the main ticket hall, then a few stairs up to the main concourse.

Heathrow has three Underground stations: one at T5, one serving T4 and another for T1,3. The Central Bus Station is at T3 but there are bus stops at the other terminal buildings, all at Arrivals level. The bus station at Liverpool Street station is to the west of the station, with escalators up from the main concourse to the bus station. Buses also call in Bishopsgate and in Liverpool Street itself (away from the bus station, depending on the destination) - see the link below.

If you are going to Liverpool St to travel onwards by train then just consider that there may be alternative travel options.

If you are arriving at a terminal served by Heathrow Connect services, an alternative is to take the Heathrow Connect to Ealing Broadway and change there to the Central line.

That's an easier change, but might be a longer journey as Heathrow Connect runs less frequently than the Piccadilly line trains.

I would agree with Nick - Connect to Ealing Broadway then Central Line. The Central Line starts there so getting on will be much easier.

Also, if you are traveling on into Suffolk or Norfolk, then staying on the Central Line to Stratford might be easier.
