Two days in London - what would you not miss

We have two days in London. What are the top eight sights you recommend, ( the typical and more unusual sights)? We are not interested in theater or standard shopping. Are there food markets, flower markets, flea markets, odd historical sights?

Of the lesser known sights I would choose The Museum Of London & Sir John Soane's Museum.

i would give all the tourist hotspots a miss and head for east London, especially if your coming at the weekend. A walk along regents canal from Victoria park to London fields where there is a great food market on a saturday, have a pint in the cat and mutton (broadway market) head for lunch at Bella Vita (broadway market). Spitalfields market where there are loads of stalls selling everything- clothes, food, antiques etc. loads of lovely places to eat and drink.

Columbia road flower market is great on a sunday, lovely way to watch the world go by. Curry on Brick Lane is always fun and cheap!

My top 2 landmarks -

Tower of London

Churchill War Rooms (more precisely the Cabinet War Rooms, where the UK government ran WW2)

(thumbs up to Museum of London)

Favorite market - Borough Market (open Thurs-Sat). Great for brunch.
