Which Market?

We'll be in London for a week in early September and we want to go to one of London's famous markets. We've been told that Saturday is the best day to go. My question is which is the best market to go to?

Thank you.

We're not looking for anything but to enjoy the market experience we've heard so much about.

Thanks,

I'd recommend Camden, - great range of stuff and a real London institution.

I like Spitalfields on Sunday, lots of good stuff as well as tat. Also the nearby Sunday UpMarket which as well as having good market stuff has lots of food stalls and picnic tables where you can eat food from a couple of dozen countries.

There is also a masseur at the UpMarket who does a sort of shiatsu in a massage chair that will banish plane-back.

I happen to be going on a last minute London work trip this week.

I'm not sure if I'll have much time but would love to check out some markets too while I'm there.

I would be looking for markets with lots of variety (not too interested in food or produce). I'd also prefer the markets with casual vendors or at least the feel of casual sellers - not too keen on the markets which are just basically fixed shops.

Thanks for any help - oh, and I'll be in Westminster, near Buckingham Palace so nearer is better if possible.
