Speaker's Corner

Is Speaker's Corner still a bustling center on Sundays? I'm looking to go later this month.

Thanks in advance

Not particularly bustling, but there's usually a few people milling about listening to whatever lunatic is ranting on about stuff. pop across if you are in London but don't expect too much!

No one there last Sunday in the morning as there was a 5k charity run/walk passing by. The afternoon was just a few religious fanatics. There hasn't been a good speaker (or discussion) there for years.

It’s move on to Twitter & Facebook

Its debatable with Big Brother watching you in Cyber space, on whether this is really free speech. Judging by the poor kids who were prisoned or locked up for trying to organise a riot on Facebook.

Guess not, as most of them own one or two Blackberry’s and smart phone with internet connection, whilst poor me has to make do with a regular phone with no internet connect.

Free speech - yes, sorry for the bad spelling or typo.

'poor kids' trying to organise a riot - it was not a protest - but indeed it was a RIOT in the true sense of the word - it was gratuitious looting and destruction of others property. That is not freedom, that is a travesty of the concept.
