And a well-kept pint in a proper village pub is a totally different experience to drinking in a London pub.

Time Out has been reporting a rise in local micro breweries in the capital so if you come across something that you haven't heard of, don't be afraid to ask the server for a taste. Good pubs will usually offer this.

#2 - a well kept pint anywhere is better than poor beer anywhere. Are you saying that no pubs in London keep their beer properly?

Nick,

I think you were asking #1 not myself. This is sounding like an episode of 'The Prisoner' or, heaven forbid, 'Blind Date'.

Yes, #1, not Adam (a number, not a name).

Just asking, not saying.

A well-kept pint anywhere is to be savoured, but the experience in a true village pub frequented by locals is to be enjoyed even more.......

While I agree the experience is different, it concerns me that you have now twice fodled into tthat experience mentions of things that, by the context, you seem to be suggesting aren't found in London. For the absence of doubt, I can confirm that my local has both well kept beer (with London Pride, our locally brewed Meantime IPA and a pleasing variety of guest beers) and regulars. As well as the two bars inside and halfway decent pub grub, you can sit at tables at the front and watch the world go by, or in the secluded and peaceful garden at the back. It's obviously not as rural as Aylesham or Wroxham, but it's very pleasant.
