Until March 2012 the lifts for the Piccadilly line are out of service (being refurbished) at Earl's Court station. The walk up the stairs from the Piccadilly line entails 108 steps.

Your daughter can avoid those stairs by walking up about a dozen steps plus use an escalator to the District line platforms. From those platforms there are just 28 steps up to the ticket hall and way out.

The alternate to both of those options is to alight at Gloucester Road station where there are 15 steps up from train platform to lift level then lift up to the ticket hall. From there your daughter may either take the District line one stop to Earl's Court station, walk from Gloucester Road to her destination or take the number 74 bus to Earl's Court Road. tfl.gov.uk/tfl/…gloucesterroad-10907.pdf

The lifts from the District line to street level are work. so one only needs to climb the steps to the escalator.
