Park and Tube

Which tube stations in NW London would be recommended for easy and ideally free parking on a late Saturday afternoon for a trip to theatre (Novello) in London? We would be arriving by the M4 but leaving via the M1.

I'd suggest High Barnet Tube Station, top of the Northern Line (High Barnet branch). The M25 Jnc 23 is about 2.5 miles away at most. Go towards Heathrow and M4 from there and the M1 is Jnc 21 to 21A, good from M4 coming the other way to Jnc 23.

Cost on a Saturday is MAX £1.50 with 155 spaces.

Check this link to be sure though.

Hope this helps.

At the weekend, where you park will also depend on which lines are affected by engineering work. Which date are you looking at?

This Sat 8 Oct, so I don't think we should be effected by weekend engineering.

Yes, the Northern Line will be OK this weekend.

Drive on in. There is no congestion charge on Saturday or Sunday. You will find parking on a single yellow in Sussex Gardens or at the back of Edgware Road.

Take a Bakerloo train from Paddington or Edgwrare Road down to Covent Garden.

When you want to go home, go up Edgware Road A5, turn right into St. John's Wood Road. That's the A41, follow up through Swiss Cottage to the M1.
