Your favorite pre-theater dinner

I'm planning on getting tickets to Rock of Ages on a Monday night. This would be our "nice" dinner night. Anything but French food (heading to France next). Thanks!

Hey, Yo Philly! (wave).... fancy meeting you here :o)

We'll be in London in April. On another thread someone recommended Kettner's ... that's where we've decided to head one night.

.. but we've booked for Handel's Messiah by candelight at St Martin's Theatre another night and haven't decided where to eat then so I'll be keeping an eye on the suggestions you get. :o)

Have a fun trip :o)

Beth395, can you elaborate on 'nice'? A budget old help.

Do you need to combine the two? Pre theatre meals can be good value but are often from a limited set menu and are ,of course, served early with both you and the restaurant having an eye on the time. If you are having just one nice dinner you might enjoy it more on an evening when you could relax. Just a thought.

Probably £30 per person is the max.

Have a look at Incognico, Shaftesbury Avenue. They always have some good pre-theatre deals.
