Simply catch any train from London Bridge to Waterloo East, follow the signs to Waterloo and catch any of the frequent trains (six an hour) to Twickenham from there.

The cheapest ticket is an All Zones One-day Travelcard at £8.50.

For information to everyone else: this is the Heineken cup final between the two Irish teams Leinster and Ulster and is at 5 pm. Come on Ulster!

If you don't like crowds you could also get off one stop after Twickenham station at Whitton Station. From there it's a 20 minute walk to the stadium, and it's a 12 minute walk from Twickenham station.

Hope you get the result you desire.

Down there, the George might be a good pub to celebrate or commiserate.

May the best team win.

When I visited my friends in Hampton on StPatricks day I saw loads of rugby fans at Richmond station. There where signs pointing where they should go. But the direct train is provably easiest..

Two of the the 6 trains per hour are on the stopping loop via Barnes and Chiswick and take about 50 minutes. Go for the others, every 15 minutes heading for either Reading (3 stops to TWI) or Windsor & Eton Riverside (5 stops).
