Passport and a Travel Visa?

Hello,

I am confused. I went to the State Department website, and they just confused me about whether a passport is all I need for a 5-day visit to London, or a travel visa as well.......

Thank you in advance

Assuming you are a US citizen then you get a visa on arrival at Heathrow. You don't have to apply for anything in advance nor hand over money to do so.

If you are an American citizen and hold a valid passport, then that is all you need. You don't need a visa to travel to the UK for a short holiday.
