Nice! Southend-on-Sea must have been a lovely surprise! Many a balmy summer's evening spent there when I were a lad. Did you try any cockles and whelks from the shellfish stalls on the front, or at Leigh Cockle Sheds?

Great stuff. Trust you didn't encounter any badgers:)

(they're nocturnal so you you shouldn't have).

Whelks are sea snails, and a traditional English sea food often sold at seaside seafood stalls.

Or the animals could be deer. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this, and you could also post a link on the Southend forum

BTW among other places that drive on the 'wrong' side of the road are Japan, Ireland, Australia...

"Did I tell you London was boiling? I joked some two weeks before leaving. London put away those umbrellas; get out that sunscreen the sun is going to shine everyday because I’m coming. That was a joke of course but you check the weather reports and you will find I was right! So we sit out in the fantastic sunshine and enjoy the heat."

We wished that you'd stayed a bit longer, cos at the moment it's back to being cold and wet :-(
