Take the Circle line from South Ken station to Paddington. From the rail station take a train to Bath Spa. Book from 12 weeks in advance at www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk

So Ken might be what one would hear on HIGNFY: 'So, Ken, how are things these days in the People's Republic of Brent?'

So Ken? Did you decide that South Kensington Underground station is commonly referred to by that name? Well done. Just continue to confuse people who could possibly help you.

The best way to get to Bath Spa station is from London Paddington station. You can get there from Waterloo station as well but that would take longer.

Hope that helps

Thank you for the help. The police, the bus and the locals we have asked for direction seem to refer to So Kensington Starion Station as So Ken so I tried to fit in.

Thanks!

Should it be "So, Ken - to Bath"?

Sounds nearly as awful as trendies trying to rebrand the Tower Bridge Road area as SoBo...South Bermondsey.

I was born half way between Kensington High Street and South Kensington, my dad worked in North Kensington for a merciful short time, we abbreviated them to South Ken and North Ken (or sarf Ken / norf Ken in Londonese) when speaking of them. Didn't have cell phones and text speak back in the days of the Ark. ;-)

(Took me weeks to figure out what Subo was, turns out it was Susan Boyle, I'm really not keeping up with the 21st century anymore). :-)

SoBo? Put that idea back in its container, put the container in the Pandorica (along with the revolting appellation 'Midtown' for Holborn), seal it and walk away.
