My first question is :can I travel by ID card as I dont have my passport with me cause at the moment I am in Italy for holidays and my second question is :do you get check for your passpost in Paris or the UK??or both parties??

< I am a greek citizen ... can I travel by ID card ? >

Yes - you can travel on your Greek national identity card …europa.eu/en/2870/docHome.html

< do you get check for your passport in Paris or the UK? >

If you travel by train from Paris to London, your passport (or identity card) is checked by a UK immigration officer in Paris before you depart. If you travel by plane, it is checked when you arrive in London.
