Oh dear Chefs and their egos!

This article has amused me all round.

Sat Bains who is mentioned has his restaurant close to where I live and is known to be arrogant and rude too.

Time to grow up

Both sides

You get wee bit crab in overcooked breadcrumbs with a smear of sauce and get charged the other side of a tenner plus service charge an I causes a fury when somebody has th gall to say it wasn't that good

These cooks have been taking the Micky for years.

And critics in the main only n courage them in their ridiculous activities .

I suspect what stuck in the chef's craw was that the reviewer was sucking up to him on twitter and then headed his review 'poor starter and service', and he felt this was rather two-faced.

What an utter loser the chef is. He's not campaigning for world peace or saving lives. He's just trying to work a little culinary magic in the kitchen, nothing more.

I thought the review was balanced and well written and I found it helpful. If you pay michelin star prices then expectations will be justifiably high. The reviewer probably made the right call not mentioning his slight disappointment with just one of many courses. I imagine fisticuffs might well have ensued if he had.

The rest of the chefs who jumped on the expletive bandwagon are no better. I'm off to the chippy.

There is a reason people don't complain about the food at the time (esp. if it was the starter), if you follow my drift....

I thought it quite funny although AA Gill need not worry about his job any time soon.

The trouble with these top chefs is that they're used to bossing people about ,and everyone around them kowtowing and doing exactly what they're ordered to. They don't like being told that they're wrong. Some of them need taking down a peg or two.

Can we expect new TALFers named Claude B, Tom K, Sat B et al to post to this thread?

Thanks to Twitter and - for many - the incessant desire to share every waking thought with the world, things that should be said only to oneself are now shouted to the entire western spiral arm of the galaxy.

A pinch of discretion (rather than overcooked breadcrumbs) should have been added to the recipe for this carnival of errors.

If you check the TA reviews for Restaurant Sat Bains (a egotistical name if ever there was one), he was in he habit of replying to his rude reviews, in kind.
