Try this website:

https://www.parkatmyhouse.com/

I suppose you'll need to rent somewhere that is easily accessable by public transport.

It does depend where you will be living. Is it in the centre of London or on the outskirts?

I think parkatmyhouse.com is quite a widespread concept. My Son IL's brother has been letting off his drive through them for the past few years.

If you mean that wish to park your car, which is registered in the Irish Republic, in or around London - in any event, in the UK - for six months or more, then I have a feeling that it will need to be re-registered in the UK and, possibly, re-re-registered in Ireland when you return. You may want to check. Alternatively, perhaps fly into London and use public transport and hire cars if you need to if public transport is not an option for weekend trips.

It may be the insurance rather than the registration of the car that may be the issue. I've just returned from working in Sweden for nine months and I took my car with me. Continued registration in the UK was not a problem (I was lucky that the MOT did not come up while I was away), but I was told my UK insurer would not provide cover if the car was out of the country for more than three months. So I took out insurance in Sweden for nine months.

Bad idea, if I may say so. You'll need to get to wherever the car is parked each time, before you even start driving - and if that's say on a Friday afternoon after work, then forget any chance of an early getaway to beat the M25 nightmare (other nightmare motorways are available).

Plus Insurance, re-registering etc. Much better to go with something like this, as and when you need it : http://www.citycarclub.co.uk/
